The Pioneer Community Service team competed at the SkillsUSA Championships held June 23-27 in Kansas City. The team of Mark Garcia, Tyler Quibell and Kelsey Saum (L to R - Saum, Quibell and Garcia) placed 4th in the nation!
Katie Eichorn and Karrie Davisson were advisors for the team. This is the third year in a row that Pioneer has represented Ohio in this competition.
Everyone that participated in Pioneer's Community Service Day last fall had a hand in this excellent placement.
While in Kansas City the students also had the opportunity to participate in the GOJO Service Project. They volunteered at the Harvester’s Food Bank. Harvesters is a major clearinghouse for the collection and distribution of food and related household products in the Greater Kansas City area. Their network covers 26 counties and serves more than 620 nonprofit agencies.
