Saturday, February 10th Pioneer Career and Technology Center will be hosting the HOSA Northeast Regional Leadership Conference. HOSA, Future Health Professionals, is an international career-technical student organization for students pursuing health science careers. Pioneer students enrolled in our Exercise Science-Sports Medicine, Medical Office, Dental Assisting, Medical Technologies and Health Assisting programs are involved with HOSA.
Pioneer CTC will host 425 competitors from 12 career-technical schools across NE Ohio-including 52 competitors from Pioneer. This conference is the second of three steps to qualify for the International Leadership conference in Dallas, Texas in June. The conference is made up of competitive events that range from leadership, teamwork, knowledge tests, and scenarios that mimic health professional skills.
The students will compete at various times between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm with the awards ceremony beginning at approximately 1:00 pm.
