Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
This program provides rigorous and relevant technical knowledge and skills that prepare students for a career as a CCMA or further education in the Health Science field. This program provides technical skill instruction that leads to proficiency and demonstrable competency in occupation specific skills. The program focuses on professionalism , safety, employability skills and reasoning skills. Content of course includes but is not limited to professional communication in healthcare, interpersonal skills, ethical and legal considerations and responsibilities, administrative and clinical duties, Heartsaver First Aid & healthcare Provider CPR/AED (BLS), OSHA, HIPAA, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, electrocardiography and phlebotomy. Upon successful completion of the course students will be eligible to take the NHA-CCMA exam.
Instruction will be a mix of lecture, skill demonstration and computer simulation. This program requires extensive study of medical terminology, computer usage and business administration. Students will work independently and as team members.

Certification - CCMA from the National Healthcareer Association
Course Prerequisites: High School diploma or GED
Program cost: $2472 Includes textbooks, classroom materials and supplies along with the cost of the CCMA examination, and WorkKeys assessments.
