Pioneer can prepare you for certification tests in structural and pipe welding for STICK/MIG/TIG.
In this course, you can: Specialize or learn a combination of welding processes, gain hands-on experience in all welding positions & metals and receive safety & related instruction.
Introductory & advanced classes are offered full-time or part-time.
All program costs include:
Textbooks and lab fees, helmet, jacket, gloves, safety glasses, related tools, 4 Certification tests for 600 hours, 1 Certification test for all others, WorkKeys Assessment Tests..
Tests are administered at Pioneer and sent to Total Quality for certification. Tests start at $150 per test and can be scheduled from 5–9:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, throughout the school year. Students earn American Welding Society (AWS) certifications. Applicants are required to have a High School or GED Diploma. Students are required to take three WorkKeys assessment tests: Applied Math, Graphic Literacy and Workplace Documents.
In addition to the Pioneer Shelby location Welding classes are also held at Wynford High School.
A $50 non-refundable application fee is due upon enrollment which will be applied to tuition upon program completion.
