Chatman is enrolled in the Health Assistant program at Pioneer. She was nominated by her lab teacher, Terri Crain. She is a senior from Bucyrus High School and is the daughter of Belinda Dewiel.
Chatman has been playing the flute in the marching band at Bucyrus since fifth grade. She’s also a member of Girls Boosters at Bucyrus. At Pioneer, Chatman is a member of HOSA-Health Occupations Students of America.
Her time at Pioneer has been wonderful according to Chatman. She has made lots of new friends and her teachers are so helpful. She is exited about all the opportunities at Pioneer. She has earned her STNA and is working at Crystal Care Center.
In the future, Chatman plans to attend North Central State College for two years then transfer to the University of Akron to get her nursing degree.
Gregg is enrolled in the Media Communications program at Pioneer. She was nominated by her lab teacher, Lynette Moritz. She is a senior from Ontario High School and is the daughter of Judy and Darren Gregg.
Gregg is involved in cross country, swimming, track and National Honors Society at Ontario. She is in SkillsUSA at Pioneer. She is involved in FFA, 4-H, 4-H Executive Committee and Junior Fair Board outside of school. Gregg is also a lifeguard at Galion Heise Park.
Gregg said her experiences at Pioneer have been great! She has been pushed out of her comfort zone by leaving her friends and coming to Pioneer, but it has opened up a lot of new options for her. She attended the SkillsUSA Fall Conference and State Competition teaching her to put her shyness aside and meet new people. This helped her to win Richland County’s 2017 Fair Queen and become a role model for all the other kids. She also gets to represent Richland County at other fairs around the state. She is glad she took the leap to come to Pioneer!
In the future, Gregg plans to attend college and earn a degree in Media Communications.
