This position is responsible for leading or supporting efforts on the campus to engage students with the campus, the community and each other. Liaisons with other members of the engagement team, students, faculty and staff to accomplish these goals.
Programming and Events
Co-Chair the Campus Activities Board (CAB) with the Programs Coordinator of Student Engagement. Will direct and/or support Welcome Week, Homecoming, April Craze, TAG, and other programming, in collaboration with CAB, REC, the Programs Coordinator, and Manager of Student Engagement and Recreation. Direct some special events, including 3 on 3 basketball tournaments, golf scrambles, home run derby’s, etc. Collaborate with Molyet and Buckeye Village, and the local community, on student involvement and event planning.
Intramural Program
Oversees the Intramural Program at the Campus Recreation Center, schedules officials, trains officials, updates forms, schedules games, talks with team captains, helps notify teams, prepares scoresheets, and helps develop new intramural offerings.
Leadership and Student Development
Develop, train, and manage all campus student organizations, including having regular meetings with student organization presidents and advisors to promote collaboration between groups and training on proper department procedures. Social Media, Technology & Marketing
Ensures that Student Engagement and Recreation Center events and programming through through various social media outlets and digital resources (ex: Ipad app). Assists with website, social media postings or creating of promotional materials for events for advertisement purposes. Updating and maintaining CRC website, brochures and forms used for general building maintenance and logs.
Supervision
Supervise office operations at the Campus Recreation Center; addresses and resolves any student staff problems or concerns; recruits, interviews, hires, trains, schedules, and directly supervises 12-15 student employees; aides in enforcing all rules and regulations at the Campus Recreation Center; assists in the oversight of Buck ID process.
Bachelor’s degree in Educational Administration, Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in student program development and proposal writing.
Master’s degree; supervision of others; creating and implementing programming, and social media marketing.
