Full Job Description

We're looking for a hard-working Event Services Supervisor to join the team! This position will learn the job of the ES Manager and will potentially replace her in November when she moves to Sales!

If you're looking for a job with a clear promotional path, look no further! Event/ F&B experience is preferred, but not required.

Position Summary

The Event Services Supervisor assists the department Manager in leading the Event Services Team. As a part of that Team they play a key role in creating incredible Event experiences here at The Castle including Weddings! The Event Services Supervisor leads the team in performing all tasks associated with setting up, serving, and breaking down of function rooms where banquet food service activities are performed. He / She is responsible for the prompt, courteous, smooth, and efficient service of food and beverage to guests during banquet and outdoor functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Review and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at the beginning of each shift to ensure banquet rooms are set as per the customer request.
  • Assist Manager in complete setup of all Banquet Spaces for events
  • Act as Banquet Captain at events
  • Supervise the Event Services Team to include Event Bartenders and Event Servers
  • Carry service trays with up to nine (9) covered plates.
  • Read and execute specifications listed on the Banquet Event Orders.
  • Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
  • Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
  • Deliver and serve drinks, food, meals, condiments and accompaniments etc.
  • Delivering Alcoholic and Nonalcoholic drinks for service to your customers’ table.
  • Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
  • Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
  • Monitor tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of service areas
  • Reporting to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy
  • Performing other duties as directed

The employee must frequently communicate with expediters and servers and read orders on tickets. The employee is occasionally exposed to hazards including, but not limited to cuts from knives, slipping, tripping, falls and burns; frequent exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity, extreme cold; frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood and produce items and frequent washing of hands.
