Newman Technology Hiring, Journeyman Tool & Die positions.

Position summary: Work as directed by Group Leaders and Team Leaders to achieve the goals set for customer delivery expectations.

Eligibility Requirements:

Ø Must have a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker certification.

Ø Able to read, understand and follow all ISO guidelines both 9000 and 14001

Primary Position Responsibilities:

· Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies.

· Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.

· File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to properly fit them together.

· Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications, making adjustments as necessary.

· Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.

· Lift, position, and secure machined parts on surface plates or worktables, using hoists, vises, v-blocks, or angle plates.

· Design, build, and maintain dies, jigs, and fixtures

· Troubleshoot and repair tooling problems

· Set-up and operate lathe, mill, saws, and surface grinders

Essential Job Requirements:

· Troubleshooting experience

· Die repair experience

· Machining experience

· MIG/TIG welding experience

Pay range is $26/hr. - $28/hr. (Based on skills and experience)
