JAG Healthcare Shelby is now holding interviews to find a dedicated STNA interested in transporting our residents to and from medical appointments. This employee will also assist with transportation needs at our sister facility, JAG Healthcare Galion Pointe. Both facilities are small in size giving employees the ability to get to know each resident personally. While driving them to and from appointments, you can take the time to talk with each resident individually and add value to their life in a personalized way.

Medical offices are open for resident appointments Monday-Friday typically during first shift hours. For this reason, those are generally the hours that the transportation aide is scheduled. There are times when a resident may have a late afternoon appointment out of town (ex: Cleveland, Columbus,etc) which would extend the hours required that day for the transportation aide to work. Those interested in this position should consider these scenarios however, the majority of our appointments are at local offices and clinics. We want those who work for JAG Healthcare to enjoy coming to work and to have a good work-life balance.

Below are some of the requirements/responsibilities of the transport STNA:

- Current Ohio STNA license in good standing

- Communicating with medical offices to schedule appointments

- Maintaining the transport schedule on Google Calendar

- Communicating with nursing during scheduling to prioritize appointments

- Sharing the schedule for the upcoming week with both facilities in advance so that all team members are aware of which residents have appointments.

- Assisting fellow STNA's with resident care when at the facility(s)

- Comply with current COVID testing schedule outlined by administration
