Shelby, Ohio — Pioneer Career and Technology Center is proud to recognize school counselor Tasha Lisle, who was honored with the Colin L. Powell Memorial Service Award at the Heart of Ohio Our Community Salutes ceremony held April 12 in Ashland.

The award recognizes a school counselor who demonstrates exceptional dedication in supporting students with their educational and career pathways, particularly those choosing to enlist in the United States military. It also highlights collaboration with military recruiters and a commitment to helping students successfully transition into service.

Lisle was recognized for her ongoing support of Pioneer students, including four students she works with who were honored at the ceremony as they prepare to enter military service following graduation.

“I appreciate all of you and your decision to commit to our country,” Lisle shared during the ceremony.

The Our Community Salutes program is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to recognizing high school seniors who choose to serve in the military and providing support to their families during this transition.
